Overview

Selexa Life Sciences are exclusively partnered with a leading Pharmaceutical client in Swindon currently looking to expand their Maintenance function due to increased demand, and a rapidly expanding production and manufacturing facility.

Shifts
  • Shift 1: Monday to Friday 0700 - 1500
  • Shift 2: Monday to Friday 1500 - 2300
Role Summary

As a Shift Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance activities throughout the production and manufacturing facility. You will work closely with maintenance and production colleagues across several subject areas ensuring a robust maintenance schedule and high performing facility.

You will be responsible for planned & unplanned Maintenance activity, utilising operational excellence and CI to deliver increased equipment reliability and ensure minimal downtime.

Responsibilities
  • During maintenance tasks, you will effectively engage problem solving and lean manufacturing techniques
  • Identifying the true root cause of the issue - and implement the corrective actions. Drive improvements across the maintenance team to improve efficiency, holding high standards of 5S, eliminating or reducing waste and/or non-value add activities
  • You will be working with a team to support routine maintenance tickets that ensure equipment is maintained across site.
  • The team will complete GMP documentation to high standards, including highlighting errors or bad practices making suggestions for improvements. Supporting the progression of documentation, for example change controls through to completion.
  • Holding accountability and responsibility for ensuring all personal activities are reliably closed on time, against agreed targets such as planned preventative maintenance task and training.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Apprenticeship or appropriate recognised qualification - HNC/HND/Apprenticeship etc
  • Good understanding of electrical control, automated systems, manufacturing process equipment, electrical engineering
  • Multiskilled electrical and mechanical production and manufacturing maintenance experience
