Job summary

Calibre Search are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established engineering team at a technically advanced, highly regulated site in Cramlington. The role is hands-on, taking ownership of maintenance activities and ensuring reliability and safety of critical site operations across multiple plant and systems.

You will work across steam boilers, chilled water, AHUs, pumps, and CMMS records; participate in on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance or engineering environment.
• Able to work across multiple live-site systems.
• Capable of supervising contractors.
• Willing to participate in an on-call rota.
• Strong communication with site stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance across mechanical building services.
• Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs.
• Update maintenance records in the CMMS system.
• Support permit-to-work procedures.
• Supervise specialist subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate asset documentation and compliance.
