Job description

Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Days) - Wirral

Salary: £43,000 - £44,000 + Overtime, Pension, Holidays

Location: Wirral, Merseyside

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Role Description
  1. Fixing machine faults during normal shift activity.
  2. Responding quickly to line breakdowns affecting production and liaising extensively with the Shift Manager.
  3. Carrying out preventative maintenance and routine safety inspections.
  4. Fault finding and diagnostics during reactive breakdowns or planned situations.
  5. Performing planned preventative maintenance on various production machinery.
  6. Ensuring breakdowns are dealt with promptly while maintaining all PPM schedules.
  7. Supporting project development.
  8. Following and promoting stringent HSE and company standards.
  9. Engaging proactively with the operations team to support plant and equipment, maximising production output.
  10. Practising continuous improvement and proposing solutions for better ways of working.
  11. Performing maintenance tasks as part of planned activities or as directed by the Engineering Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance Engineering experience.
  • Engineering qualifications, with any electrical qualification being advantageous.
  • Fault finding ability.
  • Knowledge of CMMS processes.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
  • Experience in Maintenance Engineering within an industrial manufacturing environment.
