Job description

Job Title - Maintenance Engineer

Location - Gloucester

Salary - DOE

Type - Permanent

Our client is a well-established manufacturing business based in Gloucester. The company is a market leader in the product range they manufacture and are now seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the expanding team.

This is a challenging but rewarding full-time role that will require the successful candidate to provide high-quality support within their modern facilities.

Experience
  • Electrical/mechanical maintenance & repair to all manufacturing equipment and utilities
  • Electrical/mechanical maintenance & repair to buildings and facilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance across a range of tableting & packaging equipment.
  • Fault finding to identify and correct problems in a quick and safe manner.
  • Electrical/mechanical installations and commissioning of new equipment throughout the site
  • PLC and machinery control knowledge are desirable.
  • Experience of HVAC systems and/or working steam knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements would be advantageous.
  • The ability to follow written instructions and write or amend documentation eg. SOPs
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities as required for the benefit of the business.

The successful candidate must be at least City & Guilds qualified and probably be from one of the following trades:

  • Knowledge of Machining, Fabrication and TIG welding skills would be an advantage as would Microsoft Office or CAD skills.

It is essential that the successful candidate can work on their own initiative but most importantly he/she must be able to work together with the current maintenance team.
