Job summary

A leading international manufacturer is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the Maintenance Supervisor. The role involves ensuring electrical and mechanical compliance, responding to breakdowns, and managing installation work. Ideal candidates will have a recognized apprenticeship, knowledge of PLC systems, and strong interpersonal skills. This is a hands-on position focused on safety and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Must have a recognized apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of plant control systems is preferred.
  • Enthusiastic and computer literate with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and carry out risk assessments.
  • Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Manage electrical installation work as required.

About The Role

Principle Function

We are looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team to support the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring both electrical and mechanical compliance. This will include the carrying out of installation and maintaining of systems, along with ensuring that breakdowns and planned activities are managed effectively.

Responsibilities and duties
  • Working safely throughout all activities in line with Paralloy\'s safety standards and procedures, ensuring a full Risk Assessment is carried out prior to undertaking any task
  • Ensuring applicable compliance is maintained
  • Responding to Electrical and Mechanical breakdowns & faults and managing planned & reactive work in a timely and logical manner
  • Carry out electrical installation work as required
  • Using appropriate data and systems to manage the site’s electrical & control systems
  • Liaise with and assist in the managing of third party contractors
  • Liaise and engage with stakeholders at all levels
Essential Skills and Attributes
  • Recognised apprenticeship within a Mechanical or Electrical maintenance
  • Knowledge of plant control and the use of PLC and control systems is preferred
  • Ability to fault find mechanically
  • Enthusiastic and computer literate, with good interpersonal skills along with the ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised
