Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a Swindon site, working on conveyors and mixers within a busy manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing mechanical plant to keep production running safely and efficiently.

The role requires hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge and a mechanically biased background, with planned and reactive maintenance duties.

Qualifications

• Background as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience maintaining conveyors or similar industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on manufacturing plant and machinery
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime
• Inspect, service and maintain equipment to ensure reliable operation
• Undertake mechanical repairs involving hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections and repairs
