Job summary

Paralloy Limited in Billingham is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the Maintenance Supervisor. The role covers installation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems, and ensures breakdowns and planned work are managed effectively.

You will work safely to Paralloy safety standards, maintain compliance, fault diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and liaise with third party contractors and stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Experience with PLC and control systems preferred.
• Ability to fault-find mechanical issues.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Working safely throughout all activities in line with Paralloy's safety standards and procedures, ensuring a full Risk Assessment is carried out prior to undertaking any task.
• Ensuring applicable compliance is maintained.
• Responding to Electrical and Mechanical breakdowns & faults and managing planned & reactive work in a timely and logical manner.
• Carry out electrical installation work as required.
• Using appropriate data and systems to manage the site’s electrical & control systems.
• Liaise with and assist in the managing of third party contractors.
• Liaise and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Principle Function:

We are looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team to support the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring both Electrical and Mechanical compliance. This will include the carrying out of installation and maintaining of systems, along with ensuring that breakdowns and planned activities are managed effectively.

Responsibilities and duties include:

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• Recognised apprenticeship within a Mechancial or Electrical maintenance.
• Knowledge of plant control and the use of PLC and control systems is preferred.
• Ability to fault find mechanical.
• Enthusiastic and computer literate, with good interpersonal skills along with the ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised.
