Job summary

Staffbase Recruitment is assisting an OEM client in Northampton to appoint a site-based Maintenance Engineer. The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance of automated systems in a fully automated warehouse.

You will fault-find on conveyors and robots, carry out PPMs, support installations and commissioning, and ensure hydraulic/pneumatic systems and motors operate reliably. Rotating shifts, with OT, are required, and NVQ3 or time-served experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering, or time served.
• Experience maintaining automated machinery (conveyors/robots).
• Willing to work rotating shifts and OT.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of automated machinery.

Job description

Our client is a very successful OEM and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of site based Maintenance Engineer to work at a fully automated warehouse in Northampton.

Basic salary £48K - £53K + OT

The successful applicant will undertake planned and reactive maintenance and repair of automated machinery (robots and conveyor systems).

The Role:

Reporting to the engineering supervisor you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance activities at a warehouse & distribution centre.

Duties will include but is not limited to;

Some facilities maintenanceCandidates:

• Mechanical & Electrical fault find and repair of conveyor systems, robots and other machinery.
• 3-phase electrical & plc interrogation for fault find and repair of machinery
• Undertake PPM's
• Assist with machine installations and commissioning.
• Hydraulics, pneumatics,
• Motors, pumps, valves etc etc

The successful candidate will be an experienced maintenance engineer with good mechanical and electrical fault find and repair skills.

Applicants with previous experience in maintenance and repair of automated machinery e.g. conveyor systems, robots or packaging machinery would be preferred.

We are seeking applicants who ideally have a minimum NVQ 3 certification in either mechanical or electrical engineering. However time served engineers will be considered.

Hours of work:

Rotating shifts

Monday to Friday 6am -2pm and 2pm -10pm
