Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a Heathrow-based site. You will maintain and service electromechanical machinery, including hydraulics, conveyors, motors, pneumatics, and PLCs on a 4 on 4 off day/night shift.

The role is at a globally recognised company with 33 days holiday and strong progression opportunities. Onsite work at Heathrow with some travel to other London airports as needed.

Qualifications

• Maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.

Are you a Maintenance Engineer with mechanical and electrical experience, looking for a long‑term career in a globally recognised company, performing maintenance on state‑of‑the‑art machinery and equipment, working within a busy airport site?

Are you looking to work only half the year in a 4 on 4 off role, where no two days are the same and you can progress within the company to senior leadership positions?

In this 4 on 4 off days and nights role you will be working on electromechanical machinery primarily on a site at Heathrow Airport. You will be performing maintenance and servicing of hydraulics, conveyors, motors, pneumatics, and PLCs, with further training given if needed.

This role would suit someone who has hands‑on experience with hydraulics, motors, or related industrial equipment, looking for a role working days and nights for a global leader who will invest in their development.

The Role:

• Performing maintenance and servicing of industrial machinery
• Working on hydraulics, conveyors, motors and similar
• Primarily based at Heathrow Airport, some travel to other London airports when needed
• Shift based, 4 on 4 off days and nights, 6am – 6pm and 6pm – 6am
• Overtime paid at 1.3x, weekends 1.5x, up to 15 hours a week available
