Multi-skilled Maintenance Electrician - Days | £52,000 | York | Packaging Industry


Are you a skilled Maintenance Electrician looking for a fresh challenge with a forward-thinking packaging manufacturer? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business that truly values its engineers.


Location: York
Salary: £52,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Days-based (Monday to Friday - no nights!)

The Role:

You'll be responsible for reactive and planned maintenance across a fast-paced packaging site. Working with both electrical and mechanical systems, your work will directly impact production uptime and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Electrical and mechanical maintenance of production equipment
  2. Fault finding on PLC-controlled systems
  3. Involvement in continuous improvement and project work
  4. Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures

About You:

  1. Electrically biased with a strong mechanical understanding
  2. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
  3. Experience in a manufacturing/packaging/FMCG environment preferred
  4. Comfortable working independently on a days shift
