gap technical are proud to be representing a national food manufacturing business in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team at a modern facility near Wrexham.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond effectively to equipment breakdowns to support the manufacturing process.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks and implement corrective actions on reoccurring faults.
  • Prioritise breakdowns and maintain focus on your nominated production area.
  • Fault-find efficiently using technical documentation and machine history.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Train operators in minor maintenance and assist in major repair tasks.
  • Maintain machinery to a high standard in line with safety and quality expectations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and reduction of engineering downtime.

Candidate Profile

  • Time-served engineering apprenticeship (preferred).
  • Multi skilled Engineer with either electrical or mechanical bias.
  • Experience in food, FMCG, or packaging manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills are essential.
