Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias / PLC / SCADA / HMI / Manufacturing)

Witney, Oxford : Rotating Shift.

Shifts:

  1. Days: Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 16:30, Friday 06:00 to 12:00
  2. Back Shift: Monday to Thursday 16:45 to 04:45

Salary: Up to GBP 55,000 + Back Shift Premium 15%, Up To 10% Bonus, Generous Pension Scheme, 32 Days Holiday Including Bank Holidays, Life Assurance, Permanent Health Insurance, 5% Employer Pension, Extensive Flexible Company Benefits Package.

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer on a rotating shift for a successful, market-leading manufacturer offering excellent benefits. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of production and facilities equipment. The company is investing heavily in new technology, presenting multiple engineering challenges.

The ideal candidate will be electrically biased, with knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and/or HMI systems, and experience working in an automated manufacturing environment.

The role primarily involves working on the newly installed robotic wall line, with responsibilities including both planned and reactive maintenance, as well as project work aimed at continuous improvement. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be a vital part of a small maintenance team, influencing change and driving the company forward.

The company operates multiple manufacturing sites across the UK, producing products for both commercial and domestic markets. They are a medium/heavy industry manufacturer, producing high-volume goods.

The Maintenance Engineer Role
  • Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on all production machinery and facilities.
  • Update and maintain factory systems.
  • Ensure work complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager with budget setting and capex justifications.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in maintenance within an automated manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical bias with experience in PLCs, SCADA, and/or HMIs.
  • Experience with industrial or factory systems is preferred.
