Job summary

Due to internal promotion, we have exciting opportunities available for experienced Maintenance Engineers to join our client based in the Wirral.

As an integral member of the Engineering Team, you will ensure the optimal performance and dependability of manufacturing equipment, contributing to safety and efficiency across all site assets.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Perform planned and unplanned maintenance activities to high standards, ensuring safety at all times.
  2. Maintain all site assets to meet stringent requirements and ensure their continuous availability.
  3. Provide comprehensive mechanical and electrical support for all assets and projects, validated by the site Engineering Management team.
  4. Ensure optimum performance of manufacturing plants and equipment, maximizing value and resource efficiency.
  5. Maintain and improve engineering standards across the site by offering expert support and insights.
  6. Enhance plant reliability through hands-on interventions in improvement activities, maintenance procedures, and plant stoppages.
  7. Promote a culture of safety and quality by actively participating in audits and technical visits, leading departmental efforts in these areas.

Experience with food processing machinery would be highly advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have at least an ONC/NVQ in an engineering-related discipline, with completed apprenticeship or equivalent formal training in installation and maintenance, including practical experience.

You should be an excellent communicator, able to take direction and challenge professionally, with proven experience in planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and installations.
