Job description

Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Wincanton who are actively looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

  1. Mechanical service, repair, replacement of: Motors, gearboxes, couplings, seals, pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
  2. Electrical service, repair, replacement of: Motors, sensors, valves, control gear, VSDs, servos, instrumentation, power distribution systems, safety systems etc.
  3. Evaluate and improve the installations and to increase plant availability, quality and safety.

What you will need to succeed:

  1. Previous experience working in FMCG and Packaging machinery.
  2. Understanding of Electrical & Mechanical schematics diagrams.
  3. Knowledge of different types of maintenance methodology; PPM, CBM, PM, TBM.
  4. Recognised engineering apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Engineering with 5 years minimum experience in a reactive production environment.

What you will receive in return:

  1. £44,933.20 per annum + company bonus.
  2. Weekend overtime available.
  3. Monday - Thursday 6-2 & 2-10, Friday 6-1 & 1-8 (39 hours).
  4. No Nights.
