JDR is seeking a talented Maintenance Engineer to join one of our clients, based in Widnes

This permanent role offers a salary range of £30,000 to £34,000 per annum, depending on your experience.

Hours Of Work

Monday – Thursday 8.15am – 4.45 with a 3.30pm finish on a Friday.

Purpose Of The Role

• Maintain and repair critical machinery and equipment to maximize uptime and productivity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with ISO standards and legal requirements
• Troubleshoot, fault-find, and repair CNC machines, such as Mazak, Hardinge, and DMG
• Perform electrical installations, including motors, drives, and control panels, in line with BS 7671 - 18th Edition
• Maintain and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems, as well as extraction equipment
• Carry out facilities upkeep, including HVAC, lighting, and plumbing
• Collaborate with departments to minimize machine and equipment downtime
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Recognized apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance
• Proven experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
• Current 18th Edition BS 7671 certification (City & Guilds 2382 or equivalent)
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 frameworks is a huge bonus
