Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer, Stevenage, Shifts: Continental Shifts, Salary £50,400

A Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias is required to join the Maintenance Team to carry out both electrical and mechanical maintenance within a food manufacturing environment.

As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. Planned & reactive maintenance on site
2. Diagnosing and correcting automation, electrical, and mechanical issues to resolve breakdown situations
3. PLC fault finding to input and output level
4. Enhancing the machine’s reliability through regular planned preventative maintenance
5. Focusing on safe working practices and site performance KPIs including OEE and CCOs

You will also be expected to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives alongside proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs to the plant and site service. Ideally, you will have experience with food process machinery and possess some of the following qualifications:

1. BTECH/ONC qualification as a minimum in an Electrical discipline or Multi-skilled Engineering qualification
2. C&G 2330 Level 3 Electro – technical certificate combined with NVQ 3 Electrical Maintenance
3. Time served apprentice
4. HNC level in electrical or production maintenance engineering
