Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer with experience in both hydraulics and electrical systems to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background to contribute to the efficient operation and maintenance of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on hydraulic and electrical systems.
  2. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults promptly.
  3. Ensure machinery and equipment are running at optimal efficiency, minimizing downtime.
  4. Work with a range of electrical components, motors, drives, and control systems.
  5. Carry out preventative maintenance and inspections on hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  6. Assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
  7. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
  8. Provide technical support to production teams as required.
  9. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience in maintaining and repairing hydraulic systems and electrical components.
  2. Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, motors, drives, and control systems.
  3. Hands-on experience with PLCs, electrical fault finding, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
  4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  6. Familiarity with industrial automation systems is a plus.
  7. Strong communication and team-working abilities.
  8. Relevant qualifications in engineering (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
