Job Description

The Role: To effectively provide reactive and preventative maintenance cover for Deli Lites' day and night shift production operations.

Member of the Engineering team reporting into the Engineering Manager.

Based at Warrenpoint, Newry, Northern Ireland.

Your Duties:

• Ensure a safe working environment by demonstrating safe behaviour and managing health & safety for engineering staff and contractors.
• Complete and act on Health and Safety risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and Deli-Lites Health and Safety requirements across the site.
• Assist the Engineering Manager in planning and monitoring maintenance expenditure to achieve targeted plant performance within budget.
• Provide reactive maintenance to minimize production downtime.
• Manage stock of engineering spares and consumables.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance programme to maximize operational efficiencies.
• Support continuous improvement by measuring engineering performance against budget and reviewing automation projects to reduce labor costs and improve efficiencies.
• Maintain all required customer standards.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• At least three years of experience in an FMCG, chilled environment.
• Qualified to a minimum of HNC level in an engineering or electrical discipline.
• Experience with online preventative maintenance software.
• Apprenticeship trained and tested.
• Experience working with external service providers and regulatory bodies.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment and deliver objectives.
