Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

Location: Flintshire

Salary: £40k - £45k

What you’ll be doing –

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plastic injection moulding machines, extrusion lines, and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, robots, granulators, and air compressors.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including PLCs and control systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Implement upgrades or modifications to improve equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards for all electrical work.
• Submit detailed daily activity reports.

Your skills and experiences -

• Strong experience maintaining industrial equipment.
• Strong expertise in electrical systems, including PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with mechanical systems is advantageous but not essential.
• Digitally savvy – comfortable using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Desirable

• Proven experience in maintaining plastic injection moulding machinery, extrusion lines, or similar industrial equipment.
