Job description

Role: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £43k + Overtime

Location: Wakefield

Shift pattern: Continental 4 on 4 off Days and Nights

Holidays: 20 shift holidays

Benefits: OTE up to £50k + 8-10% Annual Bonus + Life Assurance x3 + Excellent training programmes with manufacturer experts in the EU

The Company

ATA have partnered with the UK’s leading multi-site supplier supplying into the biggest names in the food retail sector. As the maintenance engineer, you will be working on both semi and fully automated kit at their 1 of 6 purpose-built sites in Wakefield. They are looking for a maintenance engineer who has ambitions to progress within the engineering sector to become a seasoned engineer. You will work alongside a team of multi-skilled maintenance engineers on a range of industrial washers, conveyors, dryers, and much more.

The Role

As the maintenance engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting planned and preventive maintenance on automated and complex machinery.
  2. Fault finding on electrical and mechanical components including contactors, inverters, relays, bearings, rollers, and some work on Siemens and Allen Bradley.
  3. Maintain levels of critical spares.
  4. Control calibration records.

Requirements

As the maintenance engineer, our client requires:

  1. NVQ level 3 apprenticeship (or equivalent) in engineering.
  2. Good understanding of fault finding both mechanically and electrically.
  3. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
