Job summary

A leading environmental services company in the UK is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to work 10-hour night shifts. You will conduct engineering checks, perform preventive maintenance on systems, and implement process improvements. Applicants with experience in conveyors are highly desirable.   • Completing nightly engineering checks.
  • Completing PPMs on systems and machines.
  • Processing work orders/requests and reporting defects.
  • Reactive maintenance for breakdowns.
  • Looking for process improvements to reduce downtime.

Job description

Hours: 10-hour night shifts, 5 nights a week. There is flexibility around hours, which can be discussed at interview.

What you'll be doing:

  • Completing nightly engineering checks such as fire-watch, guard, machine checks, and emergency stops
  • Completing PPMs on systems and machines (conveyors, crushers, optical sorters, motors)
  • Processing work orders/requests and reporting defects
  • Reactive maintenance for breakdowns
  • Looking for process improvements to reduce downtime
