A leading manufacturer in Lightweight Roofing is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in the Black Country area. This role offers an exciting opportunity for candidates with experience in Mechanical Fitting. Responsibilities include sourcing, repairing machines, and ensuring planned maintenance is performed to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience, a willingness to learn, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience in Mechanical Fitting or similar environment.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Strong communication skills and self-initiative.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing & repairing power presses and milling/turning machines.
• Conducting planned preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Keeping an accurate log of all work carried out.

Our client is a leading manufacturer in Lightweight Roofing for the building industry and is offering an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer looking on a permanent basis to start or further their career in the heart of the Black Country area!


Annual Salary:£35,000 to £40,000 (DOE)
Weekly Hours:Mon - Fri: 8am to 4pm

Duties of the Maintenance Fitter:

• Sourcing & repairing power presses, milling/turning machines
• Help with upkeep of the building when required
• Fault finding and problem solving
• Planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
• Keep an accurate log of all work carried out

Experience & Skills:

• At least 5 years experience Mechanical Fitting or similar environment
• Willing to learn new skills
• Self-initiative
• Strong communication in a team
