Job summary

A leading distributor of raw materials seeks a Maintenance Engineer to enhance the Engineering function. You will perform routine maintenance, ensure inspections, and test electrical systems, contributing to the operational efficiency of the facility. The ideal candidate will have a NVQ Level 3, PLC knowledge, and relevant maintenance experience.

A profitable distributor of raw materials requires an additional Maintenance Engineer to support the Engineering function in the overhaul and repair of machines.

Location: Commutable from: West Bromwich, Oldbury, Walsall, Dudley, Stourbridge, Kidderminster, Wolverhampton, Telford

Package: £, +% shift allowance (£, + 7/9% scaled pension scheme + Medical cash plan + up to 9% Bonus + days holiday plus statutory

Working Hours: 2 shift pattern earlies and lates

Suitable for: Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Shift Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Shift Technician

The Role

Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will:

  1. Carry out routine maintenance activities.
  2. Ensure all inspection work is scheduled and undertaken.
  3. Maintain the electrical systems within the facility.
  4. Test electrical installations including Siemens S7 maintenance.
The Person

Educated to NVQ Level 3 with the following experience:

  1. PLC knowledge.
  2. Experience with equipment controls such as valves, pumps, pressure sensors, temperature sensors, emergency cut-off valves, and level detection sensors.
  3. Previous experience with pressure systems.
  4. Welding, pipe fabrication, fitting, and grinding skills.
