Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled - Electrical & Mechanical)
Commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Tamworth
34 hours/week + optional overtime | Rotating early/late weekday shifts | Occasional Saturday & Night Shift Rota

Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer with both Electrical and Mechanical expertise? We're looking for a proactive and skilled professional to join our engineering team, supporting all aspects of maintenance across plant machinery and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a team setting but is equally confident working independently. You'll play a key role in ensuring equipment uptime, troubleshooting breakdowns, and contributing to ongoing improvements - all while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.

What You'll Do

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of machinery and equipment
  • Minimise downtime by resolving breakdowns swiftly and effectively
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records using our CMMS system
  • Support operations and production priorities through quick response and root cause analysis
  • Ensure all maintenance is carried out in line with Health & Safety and company policies
  • Proactively engage in personal development and remain up to date with industry standards

What We're Looking For

  • At least 3 years' experience maintaining special purpose machinery in a manufacturing setting
  • Recognised Electrical qualification (e.g. C&G, BTEC, or NVQ Level)
  • Competence with reading schematics, 3-phase motors, sensors, relays, contactors, and drives
  • PLC fault-finding skills are advantageous (but not essential)
  • Any industry background considered - including FMCG, Food, Metals, Recycling, Automation, Aerospace, Foundry, Brick
