Job description

Due to over 6 million pounds worth of investment into this plastic’s manufacturing business in Tamworth we are looking for 4 multi-skilled maintenance engineers to enhance the current team. With a change in shift pattern and going from a very reactive maintenance operation we are looking for engineers to embed a continuous improvement’s culture, and proactive maintenance response.

Over the next 12 months there are plans to bring in new equipment and several refurbishment projects to get in volved in, it’s a great time to join the business and really get your voice heard.

Working a Suez pattern consisting of 5 on 5 off mix of days and nights you will get a great work life balance with one long weekend Friday, Saturday Sunday and one full weekend off every month. The roles are new roles to the business created to enhance the proactivity of the current team this will take the engineering team to 14.

Ideally you will come from a manufacturing or FMCG background, we are happy to talk to both Mechanically & Electrically bias Engineers.

The role of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Day to day maintenance of the machinery & facilty’s
• Ensure at all times the plant is maintained to ensure safe and efficient and timely continued operation.
• Where required assist with the installation and implementation of projects.
• Work as a team player within the engineering department and help with meeting all agreed objectives.
• Assist with compliance of the safety, health, environmental and quality policies when required
• Assist in maintaining a strong health and safety awareness culture within the engineering and other departments.
• Follow the any specified requirements on risk assessments in relation to the engineering and other department functions.
• Follow the requirements of permits and safe systems of work.
• Ensure that site housekeeping in sections within your control are maintained to the required standard.

Qualifications & Skills required in this Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers role:

• Recognised Engineering qualification, minimum of a level 3
• Multi-Skilled approach with strong Electrical skills
• Experience of working with maintaining manufacturing machinery

The benefits of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Salary £54,000
• Shift Pattern: Suez, 6-6 days and nights – works out with 2 weekends off per month
• 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, an extra day is awarded for each year of service (capped at 25 days).
