What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Ensure the office, depot, and facilities are maintained to high standards, including the operation of ancillary equipment.
  • Participate in planned and reactive maintenance within the department.
  • Monitor and maintain large industrial ammonia refrigeration plants to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Maintain documentation to ensure legal compliance.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, along with current Health and Safety regulations, Control of Legionnaires' Disease, and Electricity at Work Act legislation.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding preventative and remedial maintenance, with strong technical evaluation skills.
  • Initiative, clarity of thought, and quick problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
