About the Role:
Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Glemsford
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Double days, Monday to Friday (6:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00)
Salary: £42,800 - £49,800 (dependant on experience) with overtime available too
Benefits: Annual bonus (last year circa 5% of base salary), Free parking, 31 days holiday (Inc. bank holidays), Overtime available. 5% employer / 5% employee matched pension scheme
We're hiring a Maintenance Engineer to maintain and improve production and site services equipment through planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance. You'll be crucial in fault finding, scheduled maintenance, and supporting other engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Fault finding & problem solving on production & site services equipment.
Carrying out planned maintenance schedules.
Providing technical support to production teams to maximise equipment uptime.
Identifying & carrying out Engineering improvement projects.
Requirements:
Apprentice trained in Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering.
NVQ level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Proven experience in a high-volume production engineering environment.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office, Excel).
Ability to work shifts, cover additional hours, and participate in a rotational call-out system after training.
Preferred Skills:
P&ID & Engineering drawing knowledge.
PLC knowledge.
Food Production Engineering background.
