Hours

5:30am till 5:30pm and 5:30pm till 5:30am, covering Mon-Sun with a rotating 28-day schedule (2 Days, 2 Nights, 2 Off, 3 Nights, 2 Off, 3 Days, 2 Off, 2 Days, 2 Nights, 8 Off). This schedule provides an 8-day off period every 28 days.

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join the onsite operations of our customer in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. This role is suitable for Electrical, Maintenance, or Service Engineers.

The Role

The Maintenance Engineer will report to the Engineering Support Manager and will be responsible for:

1. Ensuring Planned Preventative Maintenance is completed in line with the Computerised Maintenance System.
2. Ensuring all information is captured on the Computerised Maintenance System, including booking spares, time, and machine and fault information.
3. Servicing, repairing, and fault diagnosis of all equipment.
4. Identifying future projects and enhancements to improve throughput, capacity, and reduce downtime.
5. Identifying spares and replacement machine parts to minimize downtime.
6. Implementing agreed improvements.
7. Maintaining good housekeeping in all automated areas.
8. Adhering to all health and safety requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

The successful Maintenance Engineer will have:

• ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification.
• Electrical bias preferred.
• Proven experience in Engineering and Maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Effective time management.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good customer relations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
