Job description

  • Be responsible for the breakdown and repair of manufacturing equipment across both automated and manual production lines.
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities as directed.
  • Ensure all equipment on site is safe and compliant with current Health & Safety legislation.
  • Maintain accurate records of breakdowns, maintenance activities, and spare parts usage.
  • Reorder stock and update inventory records as needed.

How You Will Do It

  • Apply your solid engineering fault-finding and maintenance background to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings to diagnose and repair faults.
  • Use your good IT skills to log maintenance activities and manage documentation.
  • Stay calm and focused under pressure, especially in time-critical situations.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively with others.
  • Operate across a rotating shift pattern: 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, and 10pm–6am.

  • Time-served maintenance engineer with an electrical bias (17th/18th Edition qualified).
