Our client is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of a wide range of production equipment and site facilities. This hands-on role involves both preventive and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical skills, experience with robotic systems, and a proactive approach to health, safety, and compliance.

Reports to:

Site Facilities and Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, ensuring operational readiness and reliability.
  • Diagnose and repair faults, update maintenance records and suggest improvements to optimise safety, uptime, and production costs.
  • Ensure effective shift handovers (written and digital).
  • Maintain site facilities including compressors, boilers, chillers, fire systems, and general building infrastructure.
  • Participate in equipment commissioning and process developments.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces within the maintenance department.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Time-served engineering apprenticeship (desirable).
  • Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance (essential).
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good IT competency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with robot maintenance (essential) and PLCs (desirable).
  • Willingness to undertake further training, such as forklift truck operation if needed.
