Maintenance Engineer - Calibration & Maintenance

Our esteemed client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team responsible for Calibration & Maintenance. The primary responsibilities include providing support to the operations team and conducting repairs on process equipment and environmental stress screening facilities, utilizing drawings, circuit diagrams, schematics, user manuals, and other relevant resources.

Maintenance Engineers require a good understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM). The work is varied, engaging, and challenging, with no two days being the same.

What we're looking for:
  • Minimum qualification: HNC in a relevant engineering subject.
  • Experience and knowledge in fault finding down to the component level.
  • Ability to provide technical advice and guidance using instructions, handbooks, drawings, or specifications.
  • Experience in Planned Preventative Maintenance.
  • Ability to conduct precise measurements up to the component level.
  • Experience working on manufacturing process equipment (CCA manufacture is desirable).
  • Experience with vibration shakers and environmental chambers (desirable).
  • Ability to handle multiple issues, tasks, and priorities concurrently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to mentor junior staff when requested.
  • Suitable for candidates with conveyor belt maintenance manufacturing experience.
  • A good understanding of SAP (desirable).
