Maintenance Engineer
Salary: 46,500 Per Annum
Location: Stafford
12 Hr Shifts covering Days, Nights & Weekends

Role Overview.
The Maintenance Engineer will provide both proactive and reactive support for all automated systems on site. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where your efforts directly impact operational performance, equipment availability, and site productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Champion Health & Safety:

Prioritise health and safety best practices in all tasks, ensuring full compliance with relevant standards, procedures, and regulations.
Preventative Maintenance:

Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the full range of site equipment to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Reactive Maintenance:

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams, and work effectively to resolve issues with minimal disruption.
Continuous Improvement:

Learn from equipment failures and recurring issues. Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements via your line manager.
Equipment Availability:

Maintain a high level of equipment uptime to support smooth operation and meet the needs of internal stakeholders.
Contractor Support:

Assist in the coordination and oversight of external contractors to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Time-served apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
Multi-skilled engineer with a mechanical bias
Proven experience in planned preventative maintenance (PPM) systems
Strong fault-finding skills within Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and automated systems
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings
Hands-on experience with conveyor maintenance, including motor controllers and inverters
