What You'll Be Doing

Due to an internal promotion, we have a Maintenance Engineer vacancy available at our Spalding site where we have around 540 colleagues and produce coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar bulk products (2kg), pasta salads and couscous/grains for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Morrisons, Co-op, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury's, Nando's and Pizza Hut. Our Spalding site has a restaurant with hot food available to all our colleagues.

Shift: on 3's & 2's

1. Complete fault finding, planned and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
2. Carry out fault finding, problem solving and establish root cause fixes to address equipment issues.
3. Maintain ongoing communications with the operations team ensuring they are fully aware of all relevant engineering activities and schedules.
4. Respond to internal customer needs to maximise production uptime according to given priorities.
5. Comply with food safety standards and controls to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely.
6. Record any stock removed from the Engineering stores to ensure accurate stock control.
7. Complete all necessary documentation ensuring that it is kept accurate and is audit ready.
8. Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to promote Health and Safety and/or operational efficiency and effectiveness.

What We're Looking For

1. Complete diagnosis of job maintenance.
2. Prioritise own daily schedule and order of activities.
3. Request Engineering parts via stores/Engineering Shift Manager.
4. Refer to Engineering Shift Manager for specific work requests for significant process changes i.e. not like for like replacement of parts.
5. Escalate to Shift Engineering Manager for performance-driven issues as per local operating procedure.
