Job Description
We are looking for an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer for one of the UK's leading food manufacturing companies providing an impressive range of products into retailers and the foodservice sector.
Monday - Friday role with alternate Saturdays
Day shift
High quality engineering support to enable continuous running of plant and equipment.
Rapid response to breakdowns.
Effective fault diagnosis to ensure first time fixes.
Carry out the maintenance of office, control, and factory equipment etc., including conveyors, ceiling machines, filling machines, depositors, metal detectors, steam cookers, and mixers.
Identifying improvement areas within line engineering processes and recommending/implementing solutions.
Carrying out autonomous and preventative maintenance tasks competently and correctly and recording work completed accurately in the correct documentation.
Inspections of equipment at predetermined intervals to ensure there is no risk to product from contamination by foreign bodies arising from equipment damage.
Work on flow wrappers, gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work, and other manufacturing machinery.
Will need to have experience in the food manufacturing sector as an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer and also have the following attributes:
- Be fully qualified with 18th Edition;
- Experience in package/food/FMCG manufacturing business;
- Proven experience as an electrician;
- Experience in industrial electrical systems and electrical drawings;
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools and electrical drawings;
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability;
- Perform routine testing of electrical systems and equipment, repairing and replacing as necessary;
- Working knowledge of Food and Hygiene policy.
