Who are we

Albrighton Hall Hotel & Spa is an 87 bedroom hotel beautifully placed in the Shropshire countryside, with a full leisure club, health spa, meetings and events to compliment the hotels oak room restaurant and 1630 bar.

A 4* hotel, perfectly situated for business and leisure, sat within 15 acres of gardens and woodland.

Role Responsibilities

The Hotel Engineer will report to the hotel maintenance manager. This role encompasses a wide array of duties from repairing equipment, conducting routine checks, and ensuring safety standards are upheld to guarantee guests have a comfortable and safe stay.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify and fix maintenance issues including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, diagnosing issues efficiently to carry out repairs.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that any risk to the safety of guests, staff and visitors is reported immediately and action taken to remove or reduce the risk.
  • Support the maintenance manager in supervising contractors and vendors ensuring work is completed on time and meets the requisite standards where required.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Collaborate with the front office team to promptly address guests' maintenance complaints. Maintain a high level of professionalism and work to ensure the guests' satisfaction.
  • Administrative Duties: Keep detailed logs of all maintenance activities and repairs.
Key Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. Qualifications/Certifications or Apprentice history in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other relevant fields will be an advantage.
Skills:
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in understanding a wide range of hotel equipment and systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and provide viable solutions.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, push, and lift at least 25 Kilos.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and perform a wide range of physical activities.
