Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Fitter) – Lockerbie

Rotating shift pattern 12 Hour Days and Nights

Up to £41,000 + Company Pension Scheme + Life Assurance + 23 Days Holiday (increases with service) + Bank Holidays + Parking

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer required for a well-established manufacturer who can offer long term career stability. This is a new role due to company growth and is a great opportunity to work for a company that truly values their employees and has a great reputation for their products.

The role will suit mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer candidates ideally with a medium/heavy industrial background who have experience with servicing / maintaining / repairing /adjusting machinery. You will have experience of hydraulics and pneumatics.

You will need to be confident with reactive and planned maintenance on a variety of production machinery. You will work as part of a team of fitters and plant operators on shift reporting to the team leader working to ensure all production machinery is fully optimised and functional. On the job training and development will be given on the specific production machinery.

The Maintenance Engineer Role
  • General maintenance activities, fault finding, PPM's, upgrades and modifications as well as optimisation adjustments, ensuring the day to day maintenance tasks are carried out safely, effectively and efficiently.
