Are you ready to take on a pivotal role at our cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Frome? We're seeking a Maintenance Engineer to spearhead our total productive maintenance initiatives and support our Engineering Manager in daily operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Assist in daily machining and manufacturing operations.
  • Respond to maintenance needs, breakdowns, and projects.
  • Collaborate with various departments and present findings effectively.
  • Conduct effective fault-finding and maintenance on critical equipment.
  • Supervise subcontractor activities and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance tasks and procedures.
  • You will be working a rotating 3 shift pattern. 42hrs per week broken into 1x 10 hr and 4x 8 hr shifts. 6am - 2pm (Tuesdays 4pm finish) 2pm - 10pm (Wednesday 12pm start)10pm - 6am (Sundays 8pm start)
What We Look For:
  • Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in maintenance and repairs.
  • Proactive attitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (e.g., Shire/Maximo) is preferred.
  • Apprenticeship trained with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Proficient in IT and able to work independently.
  • Experience of hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, PLC would be beneficial.
