Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: North Lanarkshire

Salary: £45,000 – £48,000 per annum

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:

Our client are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Engineer to join their fast-paced FMCG manufacturing site in North Lanarkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of machinery to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency in production. Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site facilities.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and carrying out repairs to minimise production disruption.
• Work across both electrical and mechanical disciplines, including PLC fault finding, motors, conveyors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Support continuous improvement projects, implementing engineering solutions to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve recurring issues and optimise machine performance.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role within FMCG, food, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with PLC-controlled machinery (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar).
• Good understanding of health & safety and food hygiene requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced setting.
