Maintenance Engineer (Ad-Hoc Shift Cover)

Location: Runcorn
Rate: £35.00 per hour
Shifts: 12-hour shifts (ad-hoc cover)

We're seeking skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to provide ad-hoc shift cover for a variety of manufacturing businesses across the North West. Whether you want to boost your income, gain experience in different industries, or find flexible work, this is the perfect opportunity!

Who We Work With:

Leading FMCG, Food, Beverage, Packaging, and Chemical manufacturers

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Proactive & preventative maintenance on machinery, services, and utilities
  2. Reactive maintenance - fault-finding, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
  3. Support and lead continuous improvement projects
  4. Take ownership of specific production lines, ensuring long-term reliability

What We're Looking For:
  1. Apprentice-trained Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
  2. Experience with CNC machinery and high-volume automated manufacturing equipment
  3. Strong fault-finding, fitting, and fabrication skills
  4. Desirable: Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, and extraction systems
  5. Desirable: Familiarity with CMMS (computerised maintenance management systems)
