Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for its Redditch operations to support the maintenance team in a light manufacturing environment, focusing on preventative maintenance, servicing and repair of machinery to minimize downtime.

You will work Monday to Friday 9am–5pm with occasional weekend call-outs paid at a premium; benefits include a discretionary performance bonus, on-site parking, training opportunities and a supportive team in a clean, pleasant environment.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience with light manufacturing machinery – ideally food or pharmaceutical equipment.
• Mechanical and Electrical experience.
• PLC fault finding experience.
• Troubleshooting experience in resolve pressing in process issues with equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and a high attention to detail.
• Able to work on an occasional on call rota at weekends (paid a premium rate).
• Good team player.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance, servicing and repair of any machinery that breakdown.
• Carry out administrative tasks such as developing instruction manuals, providing reports on work carried out.
• Ensure equipment records are kept up to date.
• Stock check and ordering of consumables required within the maintenance team.
• Liaise with production and manufacturing teams to effective manage maintenance schedules causing as little disruption to production as possible.

The company are a leading manufacturer and distributor of raw materials, ingredients and products to manufacturers in industries like pharmaceuticals, food, and cosmetics They are seeking a Maintenance Engineer for their operations in the Redditch area to compliment the maintenance department within the organisation.

Salary: £35k to £40k

Work Pattern – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday – some occasional call out duty at weekend – paid at premium rate.

The role is based in Redditch so is commutable from Bromsgrove, Birmingham, Droitwich, Solihull, Worcester, Alcester, Stratford upon Avon, Kidderminster, Dudley
