Maintenance Engineer
Oldbury
3-shift pattern with Friday/Saturday/Sunday off one week in three
GBP50,408 annual salary

Shift pattern
Morning Shift:
Monday to Wednesday - 6:00-16:30
Thursday - 6:00-14:30

Afternoon Shift:
Monday to Wednesday - 14:00-00:30
Thursday - 14:00-22:30

Night Shift:
Sunday night - 18:00-6:30
Monday to Thursday - 22:00-6:30 (Friday morning finish)

Average 42.2 hours per week

The Opportunity

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a multi-million-pound heavy industry business. The site offers a preferred shift pattern that promotes work-life balance. Overtime is paid at a premium rate, providing potential earnings of GBP55,000 or more.

The role involves working on a variety of machinery, ranging from old to new technology, requiring hands-on involvement in heavy engineering environments. Successful candidates will enjoy working with large-scale machinery such as industrial Balers (Harris), 2000-tonne shears, mobile cranes, screw conveyors, in-feed conveyors, separators, sortation machines, and industrial magnets.

Experience required:

• Multi-skilled, preferably with an electrical bias
• Experience in heavy engineering is advantageous
• At least 5 years of experience maintaining and repairing special-purpose machinery
• Mechanical skills: bearings, belts, chains, pulleys, gearboxes, hydraulics
• Electrical skills: 3-phase systems, safe isolation, sensors, relays
• Previous experience in a heavy industrial environment is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to get hands dirty is essential
