About

Maintenance Engineer

Are you a multi-disciplined maintenance engineer looking for a varied and challenging role in a dynamic manufacturing organisation? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our client's maintenance team.

Global Recruitment is seeking an individual with strong organisational skills and expertise in fault finding to ensure the smooth operation of the fabrication workshop equipment across multiple sites.

Salary: £34,500 - £44,000 (Dependent on shifts / experience) + overtime

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer
  1. Electrical & mechanical maintenance across the whole site.
  2. Supporting the engineering department with the timely delivery of PPM schedules.
  3. Attending to breakdowns onsite, ensuring rapid response to minimise downtime.
  4. Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
  5. Looking for opportunities to improve machine performance.
  6. Delivering effective communication within the department.
  7. Ensuring compliance with safety measures and regulations.
  8. Implementing lock out tag out procedures where applicable.
  9. Reporting all equipment, building, and machinery defects.
About You
  1. Organised and motivated with knowledge of electrical systems; 18th Edition qualification is an advantage.
  2. Proficient in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and maintenance.
  3. Experience in PLC fault finding is an advantage.
  4. Understanding of processes and safe working practices.
  5. Excellent planning skills for developing effective maintenance programs.
  6. Knowledge of automotive, mechanical, electrical, control, and hydraulic systems and components.
  7. Positive attitude towards health and safety.

  • 39 hours per week: Mon to Thurs 8:00-16:30 & Fri 8:00-15:30 (Night shift available)
