Overview

Maintenance Engineer — Buckinghamshire. Alexander Steele is working exclusively with a global food manufacturing business to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their site in Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will play an integral part of the engineering team responsible for maintaining and optimising food production machinery and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on a wide range of production equipment, including conveyors, ovens and packaging machines.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimise downtime and production interruptions.
  • To seek continuous improvement in work practices and methods, using manufacturing excellence techniques, to identify and implement/recommend cost reductions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
  • To deputise for the Engineering Manager
Background Experience
  • HNC, HND or degree in Electrical, or related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Strong fault-finding skills
  • Excellent ability to communicate with stakeholders across various levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
