Maintenance Technician (12-Month Temporary Role)

Location: Rhymney Manufacturing Facility

Role Overview: The client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a 12-month temporary role to cover a secondment. This key position involves front-line maintenance and breakdown response on a rotating shift pattern, ensuring the continuous operation of the client's manufacturing assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Drive continuous improvement using plant metrics (e.g., OEE, downtime).
• Integrate new machinery/technology into operations.
• Diagnose and solve electrical and mechanical issues.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met during interventions.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and GMP.
• Issue permits and host service contractors post-training.
• Contribute to electrical specifications and safety evaluations.
• Record engineering changes and update drawings.
• Support maintenance strategies and recording systems.
• Log and record breakdowns and corrective actions in the maintenance management system.

Skills & Experience:

• Understanding of clean room or controlled environment controls (HVAC, Humidity, Pressure Cascades).
• Broad experience in Electrical Systems, Operations, and Maintenance.
• Proficiency in PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; MS Project, CAD ).
• Knowledge of 18th Edition (BS-7671) IEE Regulations.
• Familiarity with PLCs and SCADA systems is advantageous.
• Compex training/awareness is desirable.
• Experience with CMMS systems like Maximo.
