Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining manufacturing line machinery.
• Electrical and Welding experience required.
• Knowledge on pneumatics and hydraulics preferred.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair automated production line and woodworking equipment machinery.
• Carry out routine and emergency repairs on forklifts and fleet vehicles.
• Support general property and site maintenance.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:30pm (includes 5 hours regular overtime)

Occasional additional overtime required for essential maintenance

We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Somerlap — an established, employee-owned business based in Mark, Somerset. This is a hands-on, varied role working across planned and reactive maintenance on automated production line machinery, woodworking machinery, forklifts, fleet vehicles, and general property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair automated production line and woodworking equipment machinery

Carry out routine and emergency repairs on forklifts and fleet vehicles

Electrical fault finding and Welding

Support general property and site maintenance

What We’re Looking For

Experience in maintaining manufacturing line machinery

Electrical and Welding experience

Knowledge on pneumatics and hydraulics

A team player with good communication skills

Physically fit and comfortable with manual work

Strong awareness of Health & Safety and maintaining a clean, safe work environment
