At The July, we are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer for our newest addition: a premium aparthotel in the heart of London, Victoria, scheduled to open in June 2025. The property will feature 114 studios, two residential apartments, a restaurant, bar, and deli, serving both neighbors and guests to ensure a lively and vibrant atmosphere around the clock.

From Amsterdam to the world! In partnership with shareholders APG and Aware Super, we are expanding internationally as owner-operator. Our teams aim to develop multiple new apartment-hotels across key European cities like London, Dublin, Paris, Lisbon, and Barcelona, each infused with local stories and spirit reflected in their distinctive designs.

The Job

We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to support the smooth operation of our new property. You will collaborate closely with the Maintenance Manager and team to ensure everything runs seamlessly, creating an exceptional guest experience.

Your mission: In a newly opened building, you’ll play a vital role in fine-tuning systems, troubleshooting issues early, and establishing a solid maintenance routine. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, fire safety, and energy efficiency, supporting external contractors when necessary.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in hotel, aparthotel, or hospitality maintenance
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems
• Efficient troubleshooting and technical issue resolution skills
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and working with contractors
• Understanding of building automation and energy efficiency practices
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• Team-oriented, hands-on approach, and ability to stay calm under pressure
