Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next career challenge in a fast-paced and dynamic FMCG environment?

We are seeking a talented and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team in Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and a dedicated team in a leading FMCG company that values innovation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform both reactive and preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery to ensure maximum efficiency.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimise downtime and disruptions to production.
  3. Conduct routine inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  4. Collaborate with other departments, such as production and quality assurance, to support operational goals.
  5. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing enhancements to machinery, processes, and workflows.
  6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in a Maintenance Engineer role within an FMCG or similar high-paced industrial environment.
  2. Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with experience in fault diagnosis and repair.
  3. Knowledge of automated machinery and PLC systems is highly desirable.
  4. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  5. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  6. Ideally, a relevant engineering qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent).
