Position: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Leicester

Salary: £40,000 - £43,000

Shift: Double Days (6am – 2pm Mon – Fri, 2pm – 12am Mon – Thurs) – No Friday Afternoons

Benefits:

  1. Yearly Christmas bonus achieved over the last 14 years at as much as 125% of a month's salary (Worth roughly £2700 - £3500)
  2. Christmas Eve to New Year's Day full paid shutdown on top of 28 days holiday + 1 Extra Day for each year's service up to 5 years

We are looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias (Roughly 60:40 either mech/elec) to join our small team of 4 long-standing maintenance engineers at our manufacturing site in Leicester. We are market leaders in our industry with an annual turnover in excess of £2.2 billion! This is an opportunity to work in a stable industry with the most established player in their industry whilst still maintaining a healthy company culture across the business.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

Your role and responsibilities will include but not be limited to carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on:

  1. 3 Assembly Lines
  2. Test and Calibration Equipment
  3. Air Tools
  4. Spindles
  5. Assembly Jigs
  6. Conveyors
  7. Both Overhead Cranes and Jib Cranes

The Successful Engineer:

  1. Multi-skilled maintenance engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias, ideally 60:40 split mech/elec
  2. Qualified ideally to NVQ/City and Guilds L3, however, applicants with Level 2 qualifications are still encouraged to apply where there is evidence of experience
  3. Electrical and mechanical fault finding
  4. Previous experience in manufacturing would be beneficial but not a dealbreaker
  5. Attitude to get stuck in
