Job summary

Henderson Brown is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for an FMCG site in Leicestershire. The role covers reactive and preventative maintenance across production lines, driving continuous improvement and equipment reliability.

The successful candidate will have electrical/mechanical engineering qualifications (BTEC, HNC, etc.) and experience in manufacturing. PLC fault finding and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the manufacturing sector.
• Relevant qualifications in electrical/Mechanical engineering (BTEC, HNC, etc.).
• Experience in a similar role, such as (shift engineer, multi skilled engineer, engineering technician, shift technician, electrical maintenance engineer, mechanical maintenance engineer)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently repair various production machinery using both reactive and preventative maintenance techniques, including motors, control panels and various systems
• Confidence with PLC fault finding
• Demonstrate proficiency in both electrical and mechanical principles.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the production team to optimise equipment performance and minimise downtime.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and provide reports as needed.
