MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Department - Operations

Reporting To: The Engineering Manager

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: Competitive - Days

Location: On-site role Leek, Staffordshire

You will be part of a small team maintaining and improving our facility and production machines.

The job is varied and interesting.

Allicio is expanding rapidly and investing in new equipment and processes. We seek engineers to support our vision. The role involves reactive breakdowns, PPM, project work, and managing spare parts inventory. Experience with food manufacturing, sachets, and containers, along with electrical and mechanical skills, is preferred.

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Maintenance of production equipment
2. Ensuring work is carried out promptly and safely
3. Reporting hazards to your Manager or responsible person
4. Completing PPM schedules accurately
5. Improving processes and equipment
6. Accurate paperwork completion
7. Ordering spare parts and following correct authorization procedures
8. Maintaining hygiene and housekeeping standards in all factory areas
9. Performing emergency breakdown repairs efficiently
10. Assisting in the installation of new equipment

Essential Knowledge, Qualifications, and Skills

• Multi-skilled apprenticeship
• Electrical/Mechanical qualification, Level 3 or equivalent, or time-served engineer
• FMCG experience
• PC literacy
• Troubleshooting, fault-finding, diagnostics, and resolution experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and professional approach
